Class of 2024

Natalie earned her B.S. in biology at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego in 2016 before completing her medical degree at University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine in 2021. Natalie served as a Nevada Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Scholar and was the recipient of both the William N. Pennington Foundation Scholarship and the Maria Emilia Guenechea Medical Students Award. Her professional interests include health care equity, integrative medicine, community medicine and public health, and she is fluent in Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, skiing, bike riding, playing guitar, travelling, playing soccer, and spending time with family and friends.

Coming from Ballston Spa in upstate New York, Ryan earned his B.A. in French from Hamilton College in 2015, prior to completing his medical degree at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in 2021. Before medical school, he served as an AmeriCorps Member in Washington, D.C volunteering as a tutor and mentor to elementary school children. His professional interests include LGBTQ+ primary care, adolescent medicine, addiction medicine, global health and reproductive health. In his spare time, he enjoys the beach, hiking in the mountains, skiing, exploring new restaurants with friends, watching Netflix, playing cards/board games and cuddling with cats.

A Southern California native, Crystal completed her B.A. in molecular and cell biology with a minor in global poverty and practice from University of California, Berkeley in 2016. In 2021, she completed her medical degree at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, where she was awarded the Family Medicine Leads Scholarship (American Academy of Family Physicians National Conference). Crystal served as the Director of Community Outreach for the MCASOM Family Medicine Interest Group, as well as the founder/president of the Med Students Care and AZ Book Club at MCASOM. She speaks conversational Mandarin, and is interested in street medicine, community advocacy, women’s health and adolescent health. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, singing acoustic cover songs and learning about abolition.

Emily completed her B.S. in human biology with a concentration in genetics and biotechnology at University of Texas at Austin in 2012. From 2012 to 2015, she worked as a high school science teacher in La Grulla, Texas. She went on to complete a Master of Public Health with a focus in maternal, child and adolescent health at University of California Berkeley while completing her medical degree at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. Her professional interests include women’s health, health equity, adolescent health, sexual and reproductive health. She also speaks Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new recipes, exploring the outdoors, bird watching, running, drawing and painting.

Taylor has a bachelor’s degree in cellular and molecular biology from Fort Lewis College and a medical degree from the University of Colorado. Prior to medical school, he conducted research at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and the Center for Human Immunology at the National Institutes of Health. His professional interests include addiction medicine, LGBTQ+ care, integrative medicine, universal health care advocacy and research. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time in nature, hiking, skiing, meditation, dance, travel and scuba diving.

A native of Riva, Maryland, Gregory earned his B.S in Biology at University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2013 prior to earning his medical degree at Touro University of California. He also completed a Master of Public Health with a focus on global health at Touro. He served as president of the Touro University California Government Association and speaks conversational Spanish. His professional interests include LGBTQ+ health, HIV care, addiction medicine, harm reduction, global health and health policy. In his spare time, he enjoys painting, running, going to the beach, spending time with his partner and their dog.
